| Jarikar City Jarikar is essentially the capital of DN2. It is a very large and robust city, and you can find almost anything here. Its citizens are always quite busy, and sometimes aggressive and impatient, but city life does that to you. |

...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
Rizor awoke well rested and comfortable. Surprisingly being knocked out, losing part of his memory, and being somehow transported somewhere new had been rather comfortable for him. He stretched out from the balled up position that he had been sleeping in and looked around. "Ah, we should almost be to..." he stopped mid-speech. This certainly wasn't the North Road, and it looked bigger than he had expected Grass Town to be. He didn't have any recollection of reaching Grass Town anyways.
'I suppose this could be Grass Town, but it's not exactly what I was expecting. Maybe I should ask around to find out where I am.' In all of his contemplation he had almost forgotten about Frank. He began turning his head this way and that hoping to catch site of his grumpy, pink and blobby companion.

Re: ...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
Frank was up long before Rizor was. He was stomping around, the best a pink blob could, in total outrage. He was mumbling things like 'What the heck am I doing here?' and 'Wait until I get my hands on da goon that knocked me out!'. After a minute, he finally noticed that Rizor was up, and turned around to face him. "Hey, kid, how was yer nap?" He asked him, without so much as even a chuckle. "Oh yeah and, WELCOME TO DA BIG CITY!" He said in sarcastic excitement while gesturing to the large city around them.
A big city it was, too. Pokemon were everywhere, either chatting or walking, but all of them were doing something. There were some stalls spread out among the crowds of Pokemon. They sold various items ranging from berries, to scarfs, to apples and other things as well. Almost all the shopkeepers were busy, business was good with so many Pokemon around, as long as you were selling something either useful or edible. Frank didn't seem to be interested in any of that though. He looked over at Rizor. "Well, where do ya wanna start? Your guess is as good as mine, kid." He asked him.

Re: ...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
Rizor was relieved that Frank was still with him. Even though he had been in the dimension for a while he still felt like he would be completely lost without Frank. Rizor yawned, "My nap was great actually. But I don't think this is Grass Town and..." it was then that Rizor became more aware of his surroundings. He saw all of the stalls and what they had for sale and his eyes started to glitter with happiness. He tuned out Frank for a bit and returned to listening just as Frank had finished speaking. "Yeah, yeah, whatever Frank. This is serious...we aren't in Grass Town, who knows where we are...but...I don't care about any of that." his eyes began to gleam even brighter than before. "IT'S SHOPPING TIME!"
He got up quickly and raced off to the nearest stall that caught his eye. It seemed to Rizor that there were many different items in this particular stall, a variety shop of sorts, but he could be wrong.

Re: ...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
All Frank could do was sigh, as Rizor actually told him how his nap was. "Great, I'm happy for ya. And yeah, I know, this isn't Grass Town. " He turned around to looked at all the Pokemon around them. "This city is a lot more...lively." He grumbled. When he looked back at Rizor, he saw the Sandshrew's eyes glitter, and he knew what was coming next. As Rizor ran past him, to the stalls, he put one of his blobby pink hands on his head. "If this is so serious then why are you running to the stalls?" He asked, but knew that he was only talking to himself. Rizor was too busy with shopping to listen to him.
The stall that Rizor ran up to was own by a very tired looking Hoothoot. It was the middle of the day, but he had to run this stall instead of being able to sleep. Even worse, he wasn't due to close until two more hours. When Rizor approached, he looked up at him. 'Oh, a customer.' He thought dully. "Welcome sir. We have many scarfs, ribbons and bands. Can I interest you in a Fighter's band? Or maybe you'd like a Def. Scarf better?" He asked. Nearby some of the scarfs and bands were some shiny looking badges. There were very few of them, which might explain why the Hoothoot had forgotten to mention them.

Re: ...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
Rizor's eyes carefully inspected all of the items. He never made a purchase without educating himself about the merchandise beforehand. As he listened to the Hoothoot explaining all of his merchandise Rizor noticed that he hadn't talked about the badges and he wondered why. 'They look rather shiny, maybe he thinks I'm poor and I won't be able to afford them!' Rizor was offended with this first thought. 'Or maybe...its some kind of conspiracy, like nobody wants me to have them...I must know what they are!' Rizor had obviously over analyzed the situation, but anyhow he looked up at the Hoothoot to inquire what these badges were for.
"And what about these..." it was then that he saw the Hoothoot's almost haggard looking face. He paused for a moment and continued. "um...badges? And um, you look like you need a nap or something, by the way."

Re: ...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
The Hoothoot didn't blink and just stared at Rizor. "Yeah, I know. It's the middle of the day. I'm not really supposed to be up right now. But someone has the watch the shop. That'd be me. After that one incident..." He stopped short and then he shook his head. Shopkeepers weren't supposed to talk about their troubles, at least not to their customers. He decided to focus more on the badges that Rizor had asked about. "Sorry, I forgot about those. The badges are called ability badges. You know that every Pokemon has an ability, right?" He asked.
The Hoothoot picked up one of the badges and showed it to Rizor. "If you wear one of these badges, it'll give you an ability. Like this one, that I'm holding, is a Cloud Nine badge. That ability doesn't allow negative weather conditions to effect you." He explained. Then he motioned to the rest of the badges. "I have Cloud Nine, Sturdy, and Static badges available right now. If you don't know what the Sturdy or Static ability does, just ask me." He said.

Re: ...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
Rizor carefully eyed each of the badges as the Hoothoot pointed them out. 'Hmm...the Cloud Nine badge doesn't sound like it will be all that useful for me since I'm not affected by sandstorms anyhow. The Static badge sounds interesting since pokemon won't expect to be paralyzed by a Sandshrew. The last choice, a Sturdy badge, doesn't seem all that appealing either. I mean, it's not every day that you run into a pokemon that can one-hit KO you.'
Rizor realized that he had been thinking for quite some time, so he looked back up at the Hoothoot. "I think I would like the Static badge please! That will sure give my foes a surprise!" he said cheerily.

Re: ...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
"Good choice, good choice..." Hoothoot nodded lazily and picked up the badge. He stuffed it into a bag, without asking if Rizor even needed one. Then he handed the bag to Rizor. "Will there be anything else? Please keep in mind the great selection of scarves, mittens, hats and..." He stopped himself, realizeing that he was saying the wrong things. "Sorry. I meant scarves, ribbons and bands. " He shook his head after talking. He was really getting tired but he still had to manage the shop for awhile longer. He didn't even notice Frank, now standing behind Rizor, tapping his foot.

Re: ...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
Rizor heard Frank's tapping and slowly turned around. "Oh, yes yes, coming coming!" he said hurriedly. Rizor didn't want to keep Frank waiting any longer or else he might see his nasty side. "That will be all thank you," he said quickly to the Hoothoot. "And thanks for the nifty bag too!" he added cheerfully. 'What a nice Hoothoot,' he thought 'I hope he feels better soon.'
Rizor got out his money as he waited for the Hoothoot to tell him how much it would cost. Then it occurred to him that Frank hadn't done any shopping yet. "Hey Frank, you sure you don't want anything? Some if the things here could be useful for our journey."

Re: ...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
"Very good. That will be 100 parabucks for the badge." Hoothoot said. Frank then came up to the stall and looked at some of the things Hoothoot had for sale. "Sorry kid, but I don't think I need anything here." He said after looking at everything. "If I want a certain ability, then I'll just turn into a Pokemon that has that ability." He said while staring at the ability badges. "As for the ribbons and stuff...sorry, I don't accessorize much." He added. "Have a nice daaaay..." Hoothoot said after excepting Rizor's money. As soon as he put the money away, he fell over backwards, asleep. Looks like that shop was going to have to be closed early for the day.

Re: ...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
"Oh yeah!" Rizor exclaimed after Frank explained why he didn't need anything from the stall, "I forgot that your transformations were that useful!" As Rizor walked began walking away from the stall he heard a small thud. He looked back to notice that the Hoothoot had fallen over backwards. Rizor giggled a little bit but it was nothing too noticeable.
After they were a good distance away from Hoothoot's stall Rizor began looking around at what other stalls were around. "Hey Frank, do you think I really need anything else? I mean, do you think I need to get anything here that will be really important for my journey?" he asked.

Re: ...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
Frank had to think about that question for a good minute. "Nah, you shouldn't need anything else. It's not like you're gonna set out to do something dangerous." Frank said with a laugh at that last part. That was the only thing he was sure about. He actually had no idea where they were going to go from here. "Hey, look. A map. Whadda ya say we take a look at that map over there and see where we should go to from here? I don't want to stay in this busy city forever. Some of the Pokemon around here are uuuuuggggly." He said, lowering his voice a little so not all the Pokemon could here him. Not that most were paying any attention to him anyhow.
There was a map pasted on what seemed to be a bulletin board. Frank walked over to it first and stared at it. "Well what do ya know? According to dis thing, we're on Daetus, the biggest stinkin continent in da dimension." He told Rizor. "If we wanna get anywhere, we gotta go to Daetus Field. But where do ya wanna go from there kid?" He asked Rizor. He had four choices which were Ado Tomb, Flintan Canyon, Hiruko Desert, and the Junkyard.

Re: ...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
"Frank! Thats not nice! I'm sure these pokemon are very nice!" Rizor remarked after Frank had called some of the pokemon in town ugly. Rizor went up to the map and looked at it long and hard. "Hmm...well at least we know the first step is to go to Daetus Field. The place that sounds most suited to my abilities after that would be the Hiruko Desert." he explained to Frank. 'But where exactly are we going now? In this new place that neither of us are familiar with... What is our goal in traveling now?' he though in his head. 'At least it gives us something to do for the time being, but I wonder what kind of destiny will await us out there.'
He then returned his attention to Frank realizing that he had been gazing out into space. "Oh, oh right. So, are we going to start heading towards Daetus Field then?" he asked with a beaming smile.

Re: ...Am I in the right place? (Rizor)
Rizor's comment about all the Pokemon in the city being nice seemed stupid to Frank and he ignored it. "Come on, come on...hurry up and decide kid." He mumbled, tapping his foot again. When Rizor finally made his decision, Frank just sighed. A desert huh? That sounded pleasant. "Fantastic. Are you trying to get us all killed or something?" He asked. But he really wasn't that worried about going to the desert. It was true that Rizor's type was well suited for the desert, and Frank could always transform into a Pokemon that was equally, if not better suited.
Lucky for them, the path that led out of Jarikar City and into the Daetus field was located near the map they were looking at. How strangely convenient. "I don't want to wait any longer. I don't know what you're hoping to find in that desert of your's. But lets just go. Now." Frank wasn't giving him any time to wait. He was already walking down the path and out of Jarikar City.
