{Haru} The Mission Unfolds
As Haru watched the Driftloom leave, and glanced over at Jason. He saw the grin the Pikachu had on his face, and he sighed. He was probably never going to hear the end of it from that blasted Pikachu. Well, he supposed he may as well go ahead and get it over with. He sighed and said, "Alright, alright, just get it over with, Jason." He turned and started heading down into the Canyon. "Go ahead and start gloating about how you managed to get us here with your stupid plan using all sorts of strokes of luck." He rolled his eyes as he continued down the pathway. So Jason had managed to get them here...well, he had to give him that he knew how to deal with a situation. But now they had another issue that they had to deal with.
They found their way across the Daetus Field, and made their way to Flintan Canyon. "Okay, so, Mr. Smart Pikachu. Tell me this. Where do we go from here, hm?" he looked around. Was there anything around them that could dictate where they were supposed to go? He didn't see anything at first glance, but he figured there had to be something to determine where they were supposed to be headed. Be it a landmark or some kind of clue, there had to be something. They were now in Flintan Canyon...but what exactly was that note that they had picked up in Jarikar City meant for? And what did it have to do with that Lickitung they'd heard about that used to own that restaurant they'd visited? And did Mr. McBucks, that stupid Loudred that was foolish enough to think he could outsmart them, have something to do with it? There was only one way to find out, he supposed.... Through searching and investigation.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
Jason's grin grew, if that was even possible. Who was he to deny his friend's request? "Heh heh...I knew I could do it. I bet I make a much better leader then you Haru! You would have been wondering around in that field forever if it wasn't for me! How lucky for you that you have me as a friend." He probably would have started doing a victory dance around Haru, but it was getting hard enough for him to focus on walking down into the canyon at the same time. Now would be a bad time to trip and fall down the path, looking bad in front of Haru the whole time.
And he was forced to stop bragging when Haru asked him where they should go next. "...I don't know." He mumbled. He had to admit, he had never been to Flintan Canyon, nor did he know anything about the place. "I wouldn't have even known about the Fire types here if it wasn't for that Driftloom." He mumbled some more. It was then that he noticed they had walked all the way down into the canyon and now the path was more or less straight. And as Jason looked around, he noticed that there was a few Fire types around already.
"I doubt these Pokemon really know anything about our problem though." Jason said with a shrug. "We'll have to just look around and see if we can see anything for ourselves first. I think we should just ignore-" Jason stopped short and stared at the path ahead of them. There was a group of Growlithe taking a nap and sunbathing on the path. They were all pretty spread out and getting past them without waking any of them up seemed impossible.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
Haru rolled his eyes again at Jason's lack of hesitation in accepting his advice and just getting straight to the gloating. However, for a second or two, a smile of sorts was visible on his face. He wasn't sure why, and the moment he realized he was smiling, he wiped it off of his face. Normally, hearing somebody gloat that they had done something that Haru couldn't would do nothing less than tick him off. He would normally get annoyed and possibly start yelling--or even threatening, if it was bad enough--at whoever the source of the voice was. But for some reason, Jason amused him. There was just something about this Pikachu that he...enjoyed.
"Heh. So even Jason the Great can't figure out where in specific we're supposed to be going." he said in a mock tone. "But I guess that's understandable. I kinda figured you haven't been here before. Otherwise, you'd probably have known the way." He looked around as they continued down the path...hoping to find something soon that would show them where they needed to go. "Well, I guess for now, we just follow the one path that's here and just keep a close eye on our surroundings. Maybe something will tip us off eventually." As he said this, he never stopped moving or even looked back. He kept his eyes forward on the pathway, being careful not to do anything stupid like trip on a large rock.
However, it wasn't long before they approached the pack of Growlithe lying on the ground, seemingly uncaring about anything that might come their way. "Hmph. Pesky mutts...." he muttered. But then he realized what Jason had been about to say. "Heheh...." he said, chuckling to himself a bit. "What was that, Jason?" It was a rhetorical question and all, and he had something else to think about. How were they going to get past these Growlithe? If they disturbed them, they might take it the wrong way and attack them. And he didn't feel like battling off a pack of Growlithe. "So what should we do, oh Jason the Great?" he crossed his arms and looked at Jason. "Let's see if your lucky streak can continue." He smirked a bit, as though not expecting Jason to be able to come up with a way through this without disturbing the Growlithe.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
As much as Jason wanted to ignore most of the Pokemon around, that was going to be difficult with all the sleeping Growlithe in the way. "You heard me..." Jason grumbled at Haru and then looked back at the Growlithe. They all looked peaceful enough when they were sleeping, but he doubted they'd stay that way if they were woken up. 'Darn. I have two ideas, but I don't know which one to go with...' The first thing Jason did was look up at the walls of the canyon. He was thinking about trying to get around the pack by climbing the walls and then dropping back down to the path. But the canyon walls looked even harder to climb then most of the parts of the Imposing Mountains. 'No more climbing darnit...!'
Jason decided to go with the second plan. "Watch and learn." He said to Haru with a smirk. He was only pretending to be as confident as he sounded. The truth was, if his plan didn't work out, he would end up having a whole pack of angry Fire-types after him. But he didn't hesitate. There was no way he was going to fail in front of Haru. He hadn't yet, why start now? Jason jumped on the nearest Growlithe's tail and stayed there for a few seconds. The Growlithe didn't move.
That encouraged Jason and he jumped on the next Growlithe's tail. Then the next one after that. None of the Growlithe he jumped on woke up and he managed to make it to the other side. He turned around and waved at Haru. Then he gestured for Haru to do the same thing. Riolu were a little bigger then Pikachu, but the size difference wasn't much and Jason hoped it would work.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
Haru chuckled a bit. "Yeah, I did hear you, Jason. Kinda hard not to, with a voice like that." He chuckled some more, but let it die right after that. He had something more important to do than continue to make worthless cracks at Jason. He had to figure out a way past these Growlithe without waking them up and setting them off. His mind also came across the cliffs. He was a good climber, having worked on his upper body strength back in his days of the Dojo. But now wasn't the time to think about the past. Once more, he found himself shaking his head to get focused on the present and the situation at hand. He imagined he could make it...but would Jason? Besides, he didn't feel like putting that much effort to get across a pack of Growlithe that might be heavy sleepers anyway.
But then Jason suddenly spoke up and jumped into the air, actually landing ON the tail of the nearest Growlithe. Was that Pikachu crazy? He was actually jumping ON the tails of sleeping Pokemon...and on purpose as well? Not to mention the fact that they were a pack of wild Growlithe, who would most likely attack if disturbed. What was Jason thinking? ...But then he noticed something. The Growlithe didn't seem to be reacting at all. What was going on...? How could they not...? It was almost as though they couldn't...feel...it....
It was right then that it dawned on him. The Growlithes must not get much feeling through their bushy tails, if any. And Jason beat him to the punch this time. "...I hate being out-smarted by him...." he muttered. But Jason deserved the credit for coming up with this new idea. Hopefully, it would work for him just as well as it had worked for Jason. He took a slow, deep breath and nodded. He understood what Jason wanted him to do, and followed the Pikachu's gesture. Alright. It was time for him to give it a shot. Hopefully the subtle size difference wouldn't be enough for the Growlithe to wake up when he jumped on their tails. He looked out over the pack, focused mainly on the tails. He plotted out a course that would get him past by jumping on as few tails as possible. He then leaped forward, jumping on one of the Growlithe tails nearest him...hoping that he didn't awaken. If that worked, then he would jump to the next one, and continue to repeat the process until he made it to the other side. Once more, assuming none of them awakened when he jumped on their tails.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
Jason was actually a little impressed by how well Haru was doing. Not only were none of the Growlithe waking up, but he had managed to jump on as few tails as possible. It was almost like watching someone jump across a river using stones that just happened to be sticking out of the water. Now he was almost to the last Growlithe; everything was going smoothly. Except for when Haru landed on the last Growlithe, that is. Jason happened to be a little to close to that Growlithe, and when Haru jumped on his tail, it was in the wrong place. The Growlithe woke up with a start, but instead of howling in pain, a big blast of fire came out of his mouth and nearly burned Jason's face off.
Thankfully, the Growlithe seemed satisfied with that and went back to sleep, even before Haru jumped off of his tail. As an added bonus, the Growlithe's outburst didn't wake any of the others up. But poor Jason's face was completely black, and he was laying on his back because of the surprise attack. When he opened his eyes, he just glared up at Haru and said three simple worlds. "I. Hate. You." He knew that Haru was probably going to be amused though. 'Moron...' He added in his thoughts. He was glad that Haru made it across, but he wasn't going to show it right now.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
Haru was relieved that he failed to awaken any of the Growlithe. He smirked. And to think he was worried that Jason had made something difficult look easy. However, when he landed on the last Growlithe and saw the result of Jason getting fried, he had to bite his tongue to keep himself from actually laughing (Yes, Haru know show to laugh for real. =}). But even so, he still let out a noise that showed he was trying to hold in his laughter. Once he landed on the ground and saw that the Growlithe went back to sleep right after frying Jason, he smirked.
"What's wrong, Jason?" Haru asked, very, VERY amused. "Lying down on the job? Tsk, tsk.... So unbecoming." He lifted his foot and put it down on Jason's chest in a mock pin. He put no weight on his foot or anything, as he figured that Jason was just going to knock it away or something...plus he didn't want to actually hurt Jason by accident. There was no need to, anyway. THe Growlithe had done that for him. "You hate me? Heh. Oh well. Can't be helped I guess." he smirked a bit and shrugged. If Jason hadn't already knocked it off, Haru lifted his foot off of the Pikachu and extended a paw down in an offer to help him up. "C'mon, we've got a kind of job to do, right?"

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
Jason glared as Haru put his foot down on his chest. "Hah hah. Laugh it up Mr. Funnypants." He grumbled, before knocking Haru's foot away from his chest. He then stared at Haru's hand, trying to decide if he was going to take it or not. He figured that it was no huge deal, and let Haru help him up. "Yeah, right, a job." Jason mumbled, brushing himself off. He looked back at the Growlithe before they left. 'Yeah, that could have been a nasty situation.' He thought. "Yeah, lets go." With that, Jason quickly started to walk away. It was in their best interest to get away from the sleeping Pokemon as soon as possible.
After awhile of walking, Jason realized how bored he was getting. No matter how much they walked, almost nothing about the scenery changed. It wasn't as though they were walking in circles; they hadn't passed the same clump of rocks twice or anything. But there was also no sign of Mr. Moxie, the mysterious trench coated Pokemon, or anything else the clues had pointed them to. 'This is going to take awhile, isn't it?' Jason thought as they were walking. However, as soon as he finished that thought, he heard a gurgling noise.
About ten or so feet away, there was yet another obstacle in their way. There was a fissure slicing the path in half. It didn't seem too wide, and could easily be jumped across. Except for the fact that there was magma bubbling up and spewing out of it. Jumping might not be the best idea, unless Haru didn't mind the risk of being burned. "Right. I solved the last one. Your turn." Jason laughed.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
"Heheh. Oh I plan to, Mr. Grumpypants." Haru muttered with a chuckle. When Jason accepted his hand, he pulled and helped the Pikachu get back to his feet. "Well anyway, all joking aside, I guess it's time to get down to business." He watched as Jason started walking away again and followed right behind him. It seemed as though Jason ended up, once again, having to lead the way. Though this time, it was mindlessly. But why was Haru willing to be the one following and not be the one in front? He was usually the leader of any groups he was in back in his old life. When did it suddenly be okay to be the Pikachu's follower? Well, whatever. It didn't really matter at this point, he supposed.
As he continued to follow Jason, he couldn't help but think about how slow everything was going. Where were all of these strong Fire-types they had been warned about? If they were to be worried over...then they should be willing to attack...right? So then what was the hold up? Quite frankly...Haru was getting bored of the inactive journey. He hoped that something interesting would happen sometime soon. He didn't come on this 'mission' to simply go out for a walk and watch Jason get burned (as amusing as that was).
But soon enough, there was a gurgling noise that didn't sound very good to Haru. When he turned around to see who or what it was, he was somehow unsurprised to see a nearby chasm with magma boiling out of it. Now just how were they going to get across that? They could jump, but then if something, ANYTHING went wrong, it could end up with a horrible conclusion. He glared at Jason when he was volunteered to come up with a solution. "Hmph. Just because you can't, I bet." he muttered. He looked around the area for anything that may be of some kind of help. Boulders to push into the chasm, perhaps. Or maybe some higher, alternative path along the walls of the canyon, where the magma surely wasn't spewing out. Surely there was a way around this thing for any non-fire types that may be here....

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
As much as Jason would have loved to argue with Haru, he stayed silent. It would be worth staying quiet if Haru happened to fail. But as Haru looked around, he did too and he had to admit, there still wasn't a lot around...besides rocks. If Haru couldn't think of a way around the chasm, there was a good chance he couldn't either. Jason wasn't about to say that, of course, but it couldn't hurt to help Haru a bit if he could. "Hey..." Jason motioned to a rather large pile of rocks that weren't too far away from the chasm. "Those rocks look lose." Haru would probably be annoyed with Jason's help, but oh well.
It was true after all. Most of the rocks in that pile that Jason pointed to seemed easy enough to move. At least, for a nice strong Riolu like Haru. Jason grinned as he looked back at the rocks. Haru wasn't going to get any of his help moving them. But just as Jason looked back at Haru, something in the rock pile moved. It was a small movement, and Jason didn't see it, but it was a movement none the less. It stopped almost as soon as it started though. Maybe it was just a lose rock that fell down or crumbled. Or maybe someone was watching them.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
Haru looked across the chasm, looking for anything that they might be able to get them across. His eyes fell upon the rocks that Jason mentioned...a full three seconds before Jason noticed them. "Those rocks, huh...?" he muttered. He looked from the rocks to the chasm. It wasn't very far. He continued to watch the rock pile even as Jason looked away...and he could have sworn...he saw something move. He couldn't see exactly what it was, but he knew he saw something. He made no actions that gave away the fact that he knew about it, though. Despite this, he was overly cautious about the situation.
He looked back over to the chasm and muttered to Jason, "Don't look now, but something in that pile moved.... It may just be nothing, but it's worth being cautious about. Especially given who's after us...." Naturally, he was referring to the Dimensional Guard. Regardless, he didn't want to give anything away, whether there was somebody there, or it was just a pile of rocks. "I'm just going to go see if moving the rocks does anything...I'll act as though I'm using them to cross the chasm...." Then, he spoke with louder words as though he were carrying out a normal conversation. "I'm going to go try to move those rocks...maybe I can use those...." With that, he walked over to the rock pile...and tried to move one of the bottom rocks out of the way. He knew that if he did this, then the top rocks might come falling down, and if there was really something there, they would probably be revealed.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
Jason's ears twitched when Haru told him that there was something in the rock pile. He didn't look, as Haru had instructed, and kept the rest of his expression calm, but curiosity was starting to eat at him. "Hurry up, I want to see what it is..." Jason mumbled as Haru went over to pick up one of the rocks. He didn't seem to be worried at all about the possibility that there was a Dimensional Guard member or something hiding in the rocks. "Yeah, good idea. Hope you can lift them without my help." He smirked, playing along with Haru's 'normal' conversation.
When Haru moved one of the rocks on the bottom, he got his desired result. The top rocks fell down, without a single one hitting Haru. When the rocks were all out of the way, he could see what looked like a large, flattened, exotic jungle plant laying on top of the remaining bottom rocks. The plant didn't move at first, but within a minute of having the rocks taken off of it, it seemed to slowly come back the life. The large petals of the plant, which had been flattened the most, started to retain their shape. Soon after the petals looked better, a moaning noise could be heard from under the plant, as though someone was trapped under the plant.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
Haru's eyes looked back at his partner for just a split second, and returned back to their original position on the pile. "Hmph. Without your help, huh? I figured as much." He smirked to himself as he continued, "But I guess it's better this way. I'd rather not have you embarass yourself just to try to keep up with me." He was joking, of course, but he wasn't just going to let Jason have all the fun here. But, he supposed now wasn't the best time for one of their usual arguments. No, he had a more pressing matter to attend to. Like taking steps back to make sure that a stray rock or boulder didn't hit him on the head or something.
When they all fell off, it took Haru a while to recognize a shape in the rocks. Was that...a flower? He dropped the rock he was still holding onto the ground and got on top of the rock pile, next to the plant. "Hey, Jason, what do you make of-" but he was cut off by the moaning. "Huh...?" Haru muttered, looking down at the plant again. Was there...somebody trapped under there? Well, there was only one way to find out. He reaced down, trying to grab any kind of stem underneath the petals, and pulled, feet placed firmly on the rocks around him.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
Jason walked over to the pile to see what Haru had found. He figured that there was no harm in approaching the rocks; obviously Haru hadn't found someone spying on them or anything. When Jason found Haru pulling up some kind of gaint jungle flower, he knew exactly what it was. "Hey, Haru be careful with that!" Jason pointed at the flower Haru was trying to pull at. "You might get a spray of Stun Spore in your face if you're not." Despite saying all of this, Jason didn't bother to point out what it was that Haru was holding. He thought he would go ahead and let Haru find out for himself.
When Haru reached down to find a stem of some sort, he probably thought that he was grabbing a rather large one. But when he actually pulled the plant up he found that it wasn't just a flower, there was a Vileplume attached to it! "Urghhh...oooohhhhh...Ahhh...what happened...where am I...who am I...wait...I know who I am..." Vileplume looked at Haru and then at Jason. "But who the heck are you two?"

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
Haru already had the feeling that he knew exacly what he was grabbing onto. And when Jason pointed it out, it only upped his suspicions. He's probably seen this species of Pokemon sometime before, while in the Dojo back at home. And even if he DID get hit with a Stun Spore because of this thing, he still had a few Berries that would help him get out of it. When he finished yanking out the plant-like Pokemon that he had really been grabbing, he stumbled backwards. The sudden freedom from resistance as the Vileplume was yanked out from the rocks caused him to get thrown off-balance.
The next thing he knew, he was falling backwards on the rocks and he was on the ground on his back at Jason's feet. After a glare from Haru up at Jason, he muttered. "Not...a...word...." Then, without even bothering to stand up again, he looked at the Vileplume. He was kind of confused for a moment, and so was the Vileplume. "Hmph. I'm the one who should be asking you that." he growled. "Who are YOU, and what were you doing under those rocks?"

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
There was nothing in the whole dimension, at that time, that was better to Jason then seeing Haru at his feet. He had a wide grin on his face as he stared down at Haru. Letting him handle the pile of the rocks seemed to be a part of Jason's string of good ideas lately. But he didn't do anything, like Haru demanded, and just stepped back in case the Riolu needed space to get back up. He looked over as the dazed Vileplume started to talk. "That's right, we'll be the ones asking the questions here. This has got to be one of the worst places for Grass types to live in. What are you doing here?" Jason asked.
At this point, the Vileplume had half a mind to blast them both with Stun Spore. Not was he sore from being stuffed under a pile of rocks, but the Pokemon that helped him get out was being rude for no apparent reason. "Hey...watch it!" He suddenly didn't feel so sore. "For your information, I live in this canyon. I moved here with my tribe quite awhile ago, and we've been living in this canyon since! We worship the mighty power of the Sun, unlike some other certain tribes. " He especially didn't take kindly to Haru's growls. Who did he think he was? 'I'd love to show them a thing or two about solar power, but I got to get home...' he thought, knowing completely that he would have the upper hand in a battle against either of the two.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
Haru glared up at Jason with a glare that practically growled, 'Wipe that stupid grin off of your face.' But at least Jason listened to him this time, so it wasn't ALL bad. He jumped back to his feet, glancing at Jason for only a brief moment before turning to look at the Vileplume before them. Haru could only be thankful that Jason didn't do the same thing to him that he'd done to Jason. Especially in front of a Vileplume who could potentially turn out to be a hostile Pokemon. If there was something he couldn't stand, it was to look weak in front of his enemies. Because of what his mind was set on at the moment, which was thinking back at how that fall had made him look, Jason had made his questions known. And they were good ones at that.
Haru waited for the Vileplume's answer. His first impression of the plant Pokemon? He hated his guts. That first statement wasn't a good way to meet a new Pokemon, that was for sure. Especially a Riolu, particularly one of his calibur. "Tch. So you actually live in this canyon? I may not be the smartest Pokemon in the entire world, but I'm pretty sure that a herd of Plant Pokemon living in an area that's filled to the brim with Fire-types, plenty of which are probably aggressive and territorial, isn't the smartest move a group could make." Then he decided to retort about the 'power of the Sun'. "Hmph. The power of the Sun?" Haru muttered. "And I thought you couldn't get any worse in my sight. The only thing you should rely on is another Pokemon that you trust." Maybe he was going too far in insulting the way they lived, but he honestly didn't care at the moment.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
Vileplume smirked at Haru's comment about not being the smartest Pokemon. "You aren't, and you just proved it. By making that smart alec comment, you've assumed that my tribe would actually have trouble with the local Charmander. Now THAT'S stupid." Jason realized that the Grass type just insulted his friend, but at the same time, Haru had insulted the Vileplume's beliefs. Not to mention the fact that he was a little confused by everything the Vileplume was saying. A tribe of Grass-types, even third evolutions like Vileplume, were bound to have trouble with the local Fire-types, weren't they? He decided to just listen for a bit, and see where the argument would go, if anywhere. Haru could handle himself.
Vileplume looked up at the sky after Haru was done saying everything he was going to. "Yeah, being able to trust another Pokemon is important. But the Sun hangs above your head every day buddy. Laughing at it's power is the same as ignoring the very thing that brings life to the world." He then looked down at Haru. "But I guess you wouldn't know anything about light or growth." He smirked. There was no light on in that fighting-type's brain, nor had he grown as a respectable fighter should. This Riolu was a joke to him at this point, and he was done dealing with him. "I have more important things to do. I would thank you for pulling me out of the rubble, but neither one of you are very deserving. See ya!" He waved and turned to walk away.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
The Riolu scoffed at Vileplume's reaction. "Oh really? Last time I checked, Vileplumes like yourself and their prevolved forms were all weak in comparison to Fire-types. I bet that your entire tribe would be wiped out if you came across a single strong Fire-type out here. Like you said that there were local Charmander.... As such, it's not a stretch to imagine there being Charmeleon around here somewhere. Or worse for you, Charizard. And you're calling ME the stupid one." He crossed his arms with a smirk. He already hated this Vileplume.... It was already taking him quite a bit of willpower to keep himself from launching over there to lay a beatdown on that Vileplume to prove what he was saying.... If he insulted him one more time, then he wasn't sure how this would end up.
And that's pretty much exactly what happened. After the Vileplume's last statements, he growled quite audibly. "WHAT did you just say?" It hadn't taken a genius to figure out what the Vileplume was implying there. "That does it..." he growled, jumping into the air and landing in front of the Vileplume as he turned to leave, blocking his way. He then proceeded to grab the Vileplume by the stalk and yank him closer, as though he were grabbing somebody by the collar of their shirt. "Now you listen here, buddy. When you insult me, you're not just gonna get away with it by just simply turning and walking off. Now, if you and your tribe is so powerful that they won't have trouble against Fire-types, then why don't you prove it right now? One on one. You and me. If you win, I'll accept what you have to say and let you go. But if I win, you give some serious thought about if your tribe is REALLY as strong as you say it is. Because, quite simply, if you lose a fight to a Fighting-type, then there's no way you'll stand a chance against Fire Pokemon.
As blunt of an assault as it was, was he really just picking a fight with the Vileplume? If one were looking in on the argument from the outside, it would seem like Haru was more worried about the tribe's well-being than the insult.

Re: {Haru} The Mission Unfolds
When the Riolu jumped and landed in front of him, Vileplume was just annoyed. That annoyance died down to just flat out not being impressed when Haru grabbed him by the stalk. "What would you do if I said "No. I will not fight you." Huh?" He asked slowly. "Let me guess. You would continue to insult me, all the time hoping that I crack and attack you. Then you'd finally get the fight that you want." He smiled a little as he said this. "But I have a question. Would you attack a Pokemon who wasn't willing to attack you?" He sighed and frowned a little. "I wouldn't be proving anything by beating you. Nobody cares if I beat you." That statement was very true. His tribe wouldn't give a fig if he beat Haru or not. A Riolu was a Fighting-type, a small threat to his tribe or any other group of grass Pokemon. The only Pokemon that would care would be the Riolu's Pikachu buddy.
Jason glared at the Vileplume. He could see that Vileplume was just trying to get on Haru's nerves while not actually doing anything wrong, save for being a bit rude. But even the grass type's rudeness could be justified, to a certain extent. He hated to see Haru getting played with like this and noted that he would be acting the same way if he was trying to pick a fight with the Vileplume. They were the similar in that respect. "Haru..." Jason began, still glaring at Vileplume. "This Pokemon isn't exactly worth your time either..."
It was taking everything Vileplume had to stay cool. He was NOT a naturally calm Pokemon, but seeing Haru's temper made him feel a lot better about his own. 'Wait until my friends here about this!' The thought of his friends wiped the small frown from his face, and replaced it with a more neutral expression. He didn't have time to fight this wimp. He'd been missing for a few days from his tribe, thanks to that pile of rocks. He was really trying to put his tribe and friends first, before a fight.
