| Badlands A storm-infested barren wasteland. Rain almost never falls here, but there are plenty of thunderstorms, and this place has been stricken by lightning more times than you can count. |

{PLOT} Thor's Wrath
The Badlands is a place seldom traveled by any Pokemon who knows their way around... those lands seldom see a day without electrical storms. The only Pokemon who dare make residence there are Electabuzz and Manectric; even other Electric-types risk overload from a lightning strike. They say that this is the territory of the Legendary Dog Raikou, who plays a huge part in controlling storms all over the dimension.
But lately, things have been acting very strange around there. The thunder and lightning strikes appears to have increased at least threefold, and Badland clouds are spreading to adjacent areas. Perhaps Raikou is angry about something? All it may take is one or more bold adventurers to head in and talk some sense into him. But who would dare brave the hazardous weather of the Badlands on a good day, let alone now?
---
This Plot Thread is recommended for 2-3 players, but any number may participate. Just remember that a character cannot be a part of more than one thread at once, so choose carefully. Obviously, the types with the best chance would be Ground and Electric, but these storms are so powerful that they can prove hardy obstacles for any Pokemon species. It may be rare to get struck by lightning, but the moderator can't be merciful forever - you'd best try to find proper protection somewhere in the Badlands before going in too deep. So, this thread isn't for the faint of heart. If you love a challenge (even if your characters don't ;P), feel free to join!

Re: {PLOT} Thor's Wrath
Liana wasn't certain how they'd gotten to this point.
Actually, she was completely uncertain. Lost her father, something something, magic man, something something, tuna fish, something, and then the sky lit up.
"Hey, what's that?" she'd asked, and without even waiting for a response, she'd rushed towards it...much like a green moth to a yellow flame. She had a dim feeling that people were following her, yet somehow the fact that she was rushing into something that might have been very potentially dangerous seemed to have escaped her.
The next thing she remembered she was in the middle of a storm, just joyously watching the lightning arc around her - she didn't seem to be even in the least frightened, just spinning around watching nature's booming orchestra and laughing childishly.
How the electrical storms missed her, being as heavy as they were, seemed to be nothing short of a minor miracle...

Re: {PLOT} Thor's Wrath
It had seemed like an average day for Cutler. Just him making his way across Nirocci, Liana with him. He had already promised to take good care of her until she found the one she called her Papa. They had yet to find any solid leads on where this 'Papa' of hers could possibly be. However, one sudden curious burst from the Celebi had caused the dark Charmander to chase after her, calling frantically to get her back. Of course, as a Pokemon that could fly, she was easily faster than he was when travelling on land. There was no way he'd be able to catch up with her before they hit that massive lightning storm.
And eventually they did. And Liana stopped. Finally. By this point, Cutler was out of breath, though very wary of the dangerous lightning bolts and booming thunder surrounding them. "Li..ana..." he said, trying to catch his breath. His feet were actually tired from chasing Liana all the way here, and his lungs ached a little whenever he took in a breath too deep. "Get...back here...please...." At this point, he was sort of stumbling his way across the field, hoping against hope that he wasn't struck by lightning. After a few moments, he managed to get a hold on himself and was able to talk straight without stopping to breathe every other word.
"Liana...it's dangerous here...." Cutler said, though he was still a fair distance away from the Celebi at this point. He was just too tired to take another step. As long as he could see the Celebi, he figured he was close enough. "We need to find some kind of shelter...and wait this storm out...." He wasn't sure if the Celebi was even listening to him. Or if she could even hear him over the constant booming thunder.

Re: {PLOT} Thor's Wrath
Spark had been wondering around Nirocci when he stumbled across a wasteland. He didn't even realise he was so far in such a place. He looked around and all he could see was rocks and lightning, all he could hear was the constant BOOM of the thunder. This place was suffering from a major Thunderstorm.
He couldn't think of how such a rapid striking of lightning could be possible, or how he ended up in such a strange place to begin with. He didn't know how far in he was, but he knew he must be pretty far in by now. He decided the first order of business was to find shelter from this horrible storm, so, He began searching.

Re: {PLOT} Thor's Wrath
Damion spreaded and absorbed himself (or however he moves) along the Badlands. This place was named the Badlands for a reason by the looks of it. " How did I get myself into this?" He thought pathetically. For the first time feeling sober, depressed, miserable, and thoughtless. All he could do was look around. He felt disgusting in this dump.
Even though he was a Grimer. His human personality still strongly stuck. Which was snobby and vicious for a few words. The sky appeared ominous and unpromising safety-wise. Thunder blared and made him shiver at the booming pitch. He had heard mysterious things that fascinated him. And it was the thing that made him tempted to come here in the first place.
He wanted to find shelter, it was the first priority. He was bound to get struck by this devastating lightning if he wasn't able to. In his mindset anyways. He took a quick search and frowned. Quickly realizing that finding shelter in this wasteland would be a challenge he was not going to be looking forward to. To make things worse, danger was everywhere around him.

Re: {PLOT} Thor's Wrath
Lightning flashed towards the ground and disappeared just as quickly in deafening booms, and the Badlands seemed only darkness and light, light and darkness. How anything could survive in this vicious weather was perplexing; if a Pokemon was strengthened by lightning, they'd take in so much it was almost like poison to them and suffer just as much as another Pokemon. The clouds above blocked out the sun and kept the Badlands away from light, which was why nothing there grew, and that was fortunate; were there any vegetation, the flat landscape would surely become a blazing land of fire and smoke. And these clouds were lower, thicker, darker than ever.
And yet there was one Pokemon who seemed almost jubilant about it. Whenever there's a disaster, there's always someone there to take advantage of the panic for their own ends, and that was exactly what a Rhydon was doing. And not just a Rhydon, it seemed; several Sandshrew were digging, piling up rocks and earth as they formed a pit in the ground, then moving the rocks and packing the earth over it, carving out small holes in the sides as if to be able to see things. Meanwhile, the Rhydon shouted out in a voice that could hardly be heard over the sound of the thunder. "Come one, come all, and witness nature's great spectacle from the safety of the earth dome! Sealed for safety from the lightning, this is one offer you can't pass up! You'll be able to relax in comfort while my team of Sandshrew cater to your needs, and we shall escort you out of here once the storm has blown over! Only ¶100!" The Sandshrew certainly looked less than able to offer any comfort to anybody, and they were still packing the earth while the ground shook with violent tremors from the falling lightning, but they had done their work well; the dome stood. And it was a place to stay, at least, though the storm didn't look like it was going to get any better any time soon.

((We don't ACTUALLY have to pay the money do we? Would it be like the Dreamland Plot thread where the Money seems to just randomly appear?))
